TUESDAY, March 26: All human figure drawing assignments are DUE at the BEGINNING of class.
- Grading Rubric:
- ___/ 25 Drawing accuracy
- ___/ 25 Shading/ Value/ Highlights
- ___/ 25 Work Ethic during Assignment
- ___/ 25 Overall Appearance
- Incomplete Work Handed In: Graded As Is Above Minus 30%
- Late Work: Minus 10 points for each day late
- Late work will not be accepted after April 2, 2013
- Tuesday- Thursday: Ukrainian Easter Eggs
- Tuesday: the history & design of Ukrainian Eggs.
- Wednesday: Waxing and dying your egg
- Thursday: Melting the wax off with a candle flame/ Art History Review Day
- BRING 3 eggs to class on WEDNESDAY! Can be boiled or raw, your choice. These eggs will NOT be edible for eating however at any time, but boiled will be easier and safer to transport. Use an old egg carton to bring to school;)

PHS ART CLUB meeting: Wednesday, March 20
Meet in Ms. Moore's art room at 3:05- 4:00pm. We will be learning and doing the art of batik. Watch the below video to get an idea of what batiking is...Pizza & Pop too! Everyone welcome- see Ms. Moore if you plan on attending. I will have fabric swatches for you, but bring your own white pillowcase, sheet, or t-shirt if you'd like.

Art History FRIDAY: March 1, 2012 Make-Up Work
1. Print off the compare/ contrast design template. Fill out the concept map thoughtfully comparing/ contrasting Vincent van Gogh to the artist Claude Monet. You should be able to recall information about Monet from previous lessons; for Vincent van Gogh, watch the complete episode from BBC and fill out the bubbles as you watch the film. Find, print and paste a picture of Sunrise: Impressionism and Starry Night in the correct bubble.
